Sales Support Manager

Position summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Support Manager to ensure that our sales organization is equipped with the operational, administrative, and customer-facing support needed to drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this leader will oversee daily team operations, including pipeline management forecasting accuracy and CRM utilization. In addition, they will collaborate closely with sales leadership and cross-functional departments to continuously improve processes and service delivery.
Summary of essential job functions
- Partner with the VP of Sales to ensure the sales team activities and resources are aligned with organizational sales strategy, revenue goals, and growth priorities.
- Provide reporting and insights from Salesforce, EventPro, and Netsuite to monitor sales effectiveness, pipeline health and support territory action plans.
- Acts as an event manager to plan, coordinate and execute for various sales team meetings, including but not limited to sales quarterly meetings.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of team tasks, including Salesforce opportunity management, and fulfillment of sales team requests.
- Partner with Customer Service, PD, Marketing, Events, and Finance to support cross functional projects.
- Recommend and implement strategic initiatives that improve sales productivity, streamline internal processes that positively impact customer experience. .
- Support the training and onboarding of new sales team members.
- Consistently review Salesforce and other internal systems to ensure best practices are followed.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of Sales Support Specialists.
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and balance workloads to meet deadlines and organizational needs.
- Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins, team meetings, and performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and results-driven team culture.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years in relevant work experience.
- Proven experience managing or leading a team in sales support, customer service, or a related function.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to problem-solve, think strategically, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce EventPro and Netsuite a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Abilities required
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The Sales Support Team Manager must have excellent written, verbal, and auditory communication skills. Light lifting may be required on occasion.
Position Type
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work and travel are also required as job duties demand.
Travel
Some travel, including overnights, is required for this role for quarterly department meetings, the annual company retreat, and other occasional events and company functions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages a team of three Sales Support Specialists.
